To put in a reservation, click to fill out the form - BLUE DAZE KID RESERVATION FORM
Deposits
We currently do not require deposits as we are a young and developing herd! Filling out the form on this page is considered a reservation on a kid. Reservations are on a first come first serve basis although preference will be given to ADGA performance herds.
Picking-Up
Kids must be picked up or arrangements made within 2 weeks of age. If no pick-up or arrangement is made prior to 2 weeks after the kid is born, the formerly reserved kid will become available. For mature animals, we reserve the right to apply a boarding fee if transport can’t be arranged within four weeks. Health certificate costs are by purchaser/shipment, not be individual animal. Animals and all additional costs must be paid in full before pick-up.
Registration Papers
Completed registration online applications are provided when all purchases are paid in full. We register the animal on our end and select "bill to buyer" when registering on ADGA.org. It becomes the buyers responsibility to go on their account and pay the registration fees. Please understand that ADGA is experiencing difficulties currently and Blue Daze Lamanchas will do everything in their power to have the process move as quickly as possible, but they are not liable for any setbacks.
Microchips
We microchip all of our goats that remain at our farm. It is up to the buyer if they would like a microchip placed in the tail web of their kid. Choosing a microchip comes at a $10 fee.
Naming!
All goats born the the Blue Daze herd name are subject to their dam-line's name. With respect to our tradition we will chose a name that fits with the dam line for the designated kid.
We will never knowingly sell animals with health or reproductive problems. We are an extremely health-conscious herd; we are a Johne's, CL, and CAE-free herd following a CAE prevention plan with annual testing.
All kids are raised on heat treated colostrum and pasteurized milk. Access to water, hay, and Kalmbach Medicated Kid Grower offered first within 2 weeks.
Our coccidia prevention plan includes a monthly 5-day dosage of Di-Methox (12.5% Sulfadimethoxine). Kids are vaccinated with CDT in utero, at time of disbudding, and 3 weeks after. Occasionally Selenium is given as an injection to kids that require it.
From before a kid is born to after they reach their new home, we strive to breed and send you the best animal for you. In the rare event something happens, we want to know ASAP and we will do what we can to make it right. However, an animal will only be replaced with a report from a veterinarian that finds the cause of illness or death to be congenital. In the event of a replacement, all transportation costs, health papers, and testing will be the responsibility of the buyer. Lastly, please contact us when a problem first begins to arise so we can more proactively help you address it– we want the best for our animals and we want you to be happy with your purchase.
Our animals are highly socialized as babies and on through adulthood. We always disclose any known health issues prior to an animal being sold and value our reputation for providing healthy, well rounded animals.
